Stone Age Gallery: Collection I
An exhibition of AI Images (Web-Only Drop)
Welcome, ladies and gentlemen and various household pets… to the grand opening of the Stone Age Gallery!
Too bombastic? Perhaps…
Okay then, so let’s get real.
Waste Not
As I have previously mentioned, in the process of attempting to generate the best possible visuals for the articles I drop here on The Stone Age, I end up with a lot of unused images. There are times when I will literally spend hours trying to capture the perfect shot, and even when I do find it? I oft have to creatively alter the final product.
[For those curious, I use three AI image generators, four different photo editors (including - believe it or not - Microsoft Paint), and a variety of effects, layers, and filters; there have been times when the efforts I put into a image have taken more time to complete than the actual writing of an article.]
This desire to create an overall experience for the reader has a way of producing a considerable number of leftover creations - in many cases quality images, just not ‘right’ for whatever article I am writing. Since I despise wasting time or energy? I have been trying to determine a good method for sharing those efforts.
That has included a variety of platforms (including Instagram and Lemon8), but the results from these have been far from satisfying. So, I figured maybe it was time to do so on Substack - hence, ‘Gallery’ drops such as this will be posted here.
With that noted…
I know there are a lot of people on Substack who strongly disapprove of anything AI; as I have already addressed this in a previous article, I will not rehash it here. I also know that too many emails sent is not a good thing, either; indeed, when I have sent more than one or two per week in the past, I have received complaints from subscribers that I am spamming their inbox.
As I want to be respectful of all subscribers, I have decided to do these Galleries as Web-Only Drops, and post promotional images and links to them within the Substack ecosystem (Notes and Chat), as well as on other platforms.
One other important note: While these images are occasionally provocative, every visual posted here will be ‘safe for work.’ Nothing pornographic - in fact, nothing more risqué than one might see at a public swimming pool or beach.
Now, since all of that is said and done? Here is Collection I…

-- All images were generated by the author, using NightCafe Studio, with creative digital alterations when desired or needed.

Have you tried Imagen? Google’s new image generator. It’s pretty awesome!
I like "The Return." The image maker composed it well, and it's very light as opposed to some of the other dark images.
