Methods Which Are Absolutely Free
Hit the ‘Like’ button
This is the easiest method; it takes no more than an extra second of your time, yet it is more helpful than you can imagine. After reading an article, simply click / tap the ‘heart’ symbol (see below) at the end of each piece. This lets Substack know that The Stone Age is a growing venture, which tickles the algorithm in my favor.
Subscribe
Similar to the ‘Like,’ button, becoming a free subscriber gives The Stone Age a boost; the more subscribers, the more seriously the algorithm takes the site. It is also the best method for us to stay in touch; as social networks continue to ban and shadow-ban accounts in waves, subbing here assures we will never lose contact.

Due to social networks suppressing links to other sites (especially X, which has really targeted Substack addresses), we can no longer trust those networks as a method of promotion. Therefore I am relying on you to help me spread the word, by whatever means suits you best. ‘Sharing’ allows you to do just that.
