Thanksgiving week is always challenging, but was especially so this time around. I had to squeeze five days of ‘job’ work into three days, and by the time Wednesday night rolled around I had no ‘writing’ energy left to tap. As Thursday was the holiday (spent in peace with good friends), I had to wait until today to get this week’s article out to you.
In the spirit of that holiday I thought I would shift gears a bit, and pull a (literal) ‘page’ from a book upon which I have been working. As I discuss - and invoke - ‘Natural Law’ quite frequently across multiple platforms, it occurred to me what that actually means from person-to-person can fluctuate, based on the cultural and spiritual traditions upon which they were raised.
As such, I thought I would break down exactly what it means to me, by posting the ‘page’ from my aforementioned book dedicated to it; what you see below is my personal canon on the subject. For the sake of proper reference I created a word for it; that word is Tri-Con.
THE PAGE OF TRI-CON
Creation demands balance. As Nature abhors a vacuum so too does it find chaos repugnant, thus grasping the foundation of Natural Law is critical and absolute; it is as follows: You can draw from something only that which is put into it... What you send out will return to you... That which you take in will manifest without. This is Tri-Con.
Every pursuit - be it ethereal or material, productive or leisurely - will eventually reap the rewards your efforts warrant; you can draw from something only that which is put into it, for good or bane. Being that the better your involvement the better the results, commit everything you have to what you are doing - in the moment you are doing it - without expectation, and the harvest you reap shall be rich and plentiful.
Be deliberate regarding that which you project, for what you send out will return to you. Every thought and every choice, every action and every word, is energy broadcast into the All, announcing to the ether what you desire for yourself. Even simple choices - from the words muttered to the clothes donned - are actions which will draw reactions, for good or bane. As such, treat what you are projecting - grand or minute, blatant or subtle - with wisdom and consideration, knowing that you will receive in return that which is sent outward.
Be ever aware of what you allow into your being, for that which you take in will manifest without. The materials you read and the productions you view, the music to which you listen and the events you attend, the foods and amusements, even the energies of others... all external sparks have profound effects on your you, for good or bane. Absorb only that which edifies, benefits, and inspires Koa (soul) and vessel (body) - discarding that which is odious, ruinous, and debased - and your outward character shall be a radiant beacon for others.
Understand that planting yourself atop this foundation does not mean that you shall be completely free of hardship; in fact, situations trying are a natural aspect of temporal existence, with the worst of times visiting even the best of people. What adherence to it will do, however, is give you the discipline to endure and overcome such moments, assuring that you are never drowned by a cascade of negativity.
This is Tri-Con. Embody it, that you become not a victim of you.
After-Thoughts
As you may already know, I am a firm believer in brevity when writing about… well, anything; if I can say it in 500 words, I’m not going to use 1500 for the sake of rhetorical ostentation. As such, this is presented in a compact format.
These are obviously not new, nor groundbreaking, precepts; indeed, they are ancient and time-honored edicts, observable in Nature and firmly encapsulating Natural Law. However, to my knowledge these three directives have never been pulled together in a single, unified concept, thus if there is any uniqueness to it? It is in that.
As for the new word? I thought it was needed here, for while Tri-Con shares aspects with existing beliefs? It is also different.
For example, Tri-Con is similar to Karma, and also to ‘You reap what you sow.’ It is similar to Newton's Third Law of Motion, and even the Laws of Return and Attraction… similar, yet different. Hence, the need for a different word to identify it.
(Sidebar: I occasionally get razzed for ‘making up words.’ When that happens, I think of the scene from Avengers: Infinity War, where the character Drax accuses Thor of using a made-up word. Thor replies, “All words are made up”… and since that is theoretically not wrong? ‘Word creation’ it is, albeit only when necessary.)
As for future releases of ‘pages’ from my book project. I intend to drop more of those over the next few weeks, and plan to release the entire collection in 2024. As for next week, however? We shall return to regularly-scheduled shenanigans.

BONUS TRACK: And a recommendation; from Notes…
Having read Mary Webb's novel, "Precious Bane", in my early twenties, I particularly appreciate your use of the word "bane" as I have always resisted the continued degradation and diminishment of the English language.

I look forward to your book.
