Thank you for the food for thought, Stone, and for the kind words.

I fear the weak link in all this might be the portion of the 3rd Amendment that reads, “but in a manner to be prescribed by law.”

As we have seen, emergency powers are prescribed by law, and apparently they can do anything they wish once they declare an “emergency.”

You are most welcome, was a great piece on your part.

And you're right - I considered the 'prescribed by law' aspect as well, and that could certainly be a roadblock. It's so damned difficult to ascertain where SCOTUS will lean in any situation, though, and I figure if the 14th could once be utilized to justify 50 years of abortion? Anything is possible, depending on the court when a decision is rendered, so... it couldn't hurt to try LOL

Honestly, my main goal with these speculative pieces - more than anything else - is to get people thinking outside the proverbial box, to consider creative - at times even extreme - solutions to complex problems. I knew before posting this might be considered a 'fringe' idea, but sometimes... 'fringe works' ;-)

Appreciate the gracious comment, and your original article. Keep inspiring folks!

Thanks Stone and Mr Cook, I like all this thinking outside the BofR box! The 3rd, let's go for it!

So about your observation the 14th and "justify 50 years of abortion", I thought that was "50 years (?) of women's reproductive freedom"?

You too, Stone!

The realization I have come to, for what it is worth, is that, ultimately, they can do whatever they want. Let us take, for example, the Sedition Acts. The country was five seconds old when criticism of a political party was made illegal. Crazy!

But my outlook is not that the system failed, or that that was an outlier, or anything like that. My problem is that such things can even be >proposed<.

Here in NY state, legislators propose completely insane things all the time, like spaghetti hurled at the ceiling. They know they won't get through, and most of these mad, rights-violative bills are stopped by the process. "See, Chris, the process is working."

No. Any system that allows laws to be invented is a problem. The only law is natural law, and any manmade laws that seek to protect it. A system that allows anything else is itself a problem.

Our system is a problem. Maybe it was the best they could have done at the time (though I suspect the Articles would have been better), but it does not change the fact that in an absolute sense, our system itself, even as it was originally conceived, is a fundamental violation of individual rights.

I have heard that the real motive behind the illegal invasion, squatting epidemic, increasing violence and lawlessness, constant threat of disease and nuclear threat etc etc etc is to drive the American people to the point where we will want and cry out for martial law. We will be ready to trade liberty and freedom for safety and security.

I think it’s worse than prompting people to beg for martial law. I think they are fomenting a violent backlash against their intentionally provocative seditious actions. They would love nothing more than to gin up an armed rebellion to “justify” an overwhelming military response to utterly crush the rebellion. MSM coverage 24/7. It’s a bully pushing us backwards over and over again and taunting “whaddayagonna do about baby? You gonna cry, crybaby?” J6 on steroids.

Pretty sad isn’t it? Whenever I hear that word chops it reminds me of a preacher friend of mine who would always say God is not a Hod of chias. Funny how these things come back to you. But it has helped me because when I am in a situation that is unsettling when I sense a lot of anxiety in someone or the course forward seems to be chaotic and I have no peace inside I reevaluate. It is true though that we already know we will not have peace in this world but we can try to have peace in our soul and treat our brother as Christ would

An excellent article, and -sadly- as Charlotte mentioned, nothing really new.

I happen to know that for instance the Netherlands dug up a 1953 law dealing with ‘displacement of persons’. The original law was passed after the 1953 floods when thousands of people had to be evacuated.

It states that people can be forced to take in persons, or even that their house (whether owned or leased) including all contents can be requisitioned to house persons evacuated. The original owners/tenants would then be displaced and relocated elsewhere.

Those were, of course, exceptional circumstances.

However, last year, several articles were suddenly ‘dug up’ and revived, now in view of the large number of illegals entering the country, meaning anyone can be forced to take in a ‘refugee’ (or more than one). The article re house requisitions has not been revived…as yet.

All over Europe, illegal immigrants, mainly from Africa, are flooding countries, not hindered by governments. Not only putting a strain on refugee centres but also causing havoc in the villages and small towns surrounding those centres.

Joyce, I lived in Holland in the late 70s-early 80s and can confirm they had horrible problems with squatters. Homeowners going away on a vacation would come back to their home to find occupied. The weird thing was public opinion was about 50/50, I found that inconceivable.

Seems to me that the people doing the squatting will try and use the "law" to try and stay where they please. I think a better way to remove them would be to not involve authorities until the smoke and smell of gun powder was thick in the air. Treat it more like a home invasion while I was on the couch enjoying a adult beverage. They're not squatting if I don't recognize them as such. They have no right to be there if they're never acknowledged as living there.

And, as usual, you present an excellent, straight-forward NATURAL solution. Which is why we advocate getting out of cities, where the ability to protect self and property by more 'direct' means has been largely stripped away. You notice that whole 'squatter' trend has not taken root in rural communities, after all LOL

The constitution is the casket in which they buried the declaration of independence. The declaration mentions God four times. The articles of confederation mention God once. The constitution mentions God zero times. In addition, Ben Franklin of the hellfire club made them put in a provision forbidding any test of religious conviction for holding office, so demon worshippers are in office now.

However much you think the government was designed to be corrupt and evil, you should double up on that. It has reached the culmination of corruption.

You are completely correct. The gooferment has no authority to impose quartering of any kind.

After the tea party in the 12th month of 1773 the city of Boston magistrates went into hiding. It was the 10th month of 1774 when 8,000 British troops arrived. Many women were raped in the Boston homes where those troops were quartered.

from article by Jamie White:

"A Venezuelan illegal alien who went viral on TikTok urging fellow illegals to squat in U.S. homes has been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials.

On March 29, 2024, Moreno was arrested in Gahanna, Ohio by officers with ERO Detroit’s Columbus office and is currently detained pending further immigration proceedings.

Will Moreno be deported from the U.S. for good, or is this simply an effort by the Biden regime to address the negative optics his viral social media posts have brought about?

In previous TikTok videos, Moreno also declared he was “on vacation” in America and was avoiding work by exploiting his child to get cushy welfare payments."

Somebody cx his welfare checks and get CPS for the child.

It's just one a-hole illegal, but cd we "make an example here"?

Well written & reasoned argument. Yet invoking the 3rd amendment seems too far of a stretch in this situation. Focusing on larger societal implications of laws being used against law abiding citizens by people who are in the country illegally seems like it would resonate more with the majority of people. Laws are meant to protect citizens, residents & society. What happens when the opposite happens? When bad behavior is protected behavior. When those who break the rules are rewarded, but people who follow them are punished. Who will stand up for the common man?

This here is a prime example of a truly aware-phenomenal essay. The message is clear that it's our American civilian Republic responsibility to take into consideration of the FACTS of what it Is to be and uphold our God given rights. Protect humanity from Tyranny at all cost, intelligently, and instinctively based upon the deep knowledge experience from where We, The People, Came To Be.

The current and not so distant past Administrations have [inadvertently?] taken our mission off course. Claiming protective obscurity.

Regardless of what even some who’ve sworn to uphold the Trinity claim America was a failed experiment.

Retrospectively, those who are and have been imposed to such responsibilities have been the failure.

Conclusively, We have Substack and intelligent beings like this here Author.

My gratitude for such a compelling perspective.

I’ve seen the Marxist view summarized as simply the total elimination of all private property. Viewed that way, everything the state does is working toward that end. Squatting and tenant rights, of course, are tools for the state’s confiscation of everything we have.

I’ve been granted political asylum and residency in the state of Missouri after 70 years of oppression in The People’s Republic of Washington (the state). Squatter’s rights and tenant protections have been a huge deal there since way before the covid scam. The state will even provide a free lawyer for the tenant if you take an eviction action.
