When the Censors Target the 'Vulnerable'
PIN OF THE WEEK: Defending Beck, and taking care of the 'smaller' creators
Earlier today (Wednesday) Glenn Beck’s entire library of Apple-hosted podcasts mysteriously disappeared from their network; after hours of going back and forth, and thousands of fans showing support, all 3,000+ hours of his program were finally restored. As of this writing, no explanation as to why the removal occurred has been provided.
While I think it is great to rally around a mega-popular creator when they get censored, and even better when Big-Tech caves under the pressure, it also begs a larger question: Who stands up for the smaller creators when the hammer drops on them?
Hundreds of videos are are either being removed, or under the threat of disappearing, from YouTube right now. They are being targeted just for discussing natural alternatives to the deadly Pharma Cartel and its (even deadlier, in my opinion) puppet-branch, the World Health Organization [WHO].
And let us be honest - throughout the COVID-19 bio-attack ‘pandemic,’ the WHO seemed to get more wrong than it got right. If it were not for those tireless truth-seekers, dropping actual facts despite WHO counter-claims? We may well have been in much worse shape than where we ended up.
Now… those people who provided genuine (even life-saving) information will soon be silenced. They are attempting to drive the masses back into a sleepy, comfortable ignorance - completely dependent upon them - by denying us all the information which is available.
Because SCIENCE… or something. I mean, certainly there is no ‘profit motive’ with these gentle souls, because we all know they are only about altruism and healing and stuff.
Yeah… I couldn’t keep a straight face, either.
We have a pretty good idea who they are targeting first, but who ends up in the crosshairs next? Those who discuss alternative treatments or ancient herbal remedies for minor ailments? Nutritionists who recommend meat-based, bug-free diets? Comedians who scoff at the notion of gluten-allergies?
Will these, and others, be silenced… simply because the WHO is essentially being granted deification? Will our self-elevated, self-appointed masters demand we bow to this new, ravenous god, and absolutely accept what it says as sanctified, gospel truth?
No. I will not comply. And I know many of you will not, either.
As such, it would be great if those who have clout would advocate for the creators with smaller audiences. And if you happen to be one of clout-holders, you should probably do so for yourself too, because if you allow these ‘small’ creators to vanish without raising your voice? Your own disappearance is not far behind.
So who will step up? Which one of these big names is going to fearlessly sojourn into the social-fire, and take the heat to support those who risk career and reputation just to tell the truth? Anyone?
Of course, I already know the answer, because I am not a naïve fool: None of them will. Even those whose bacon has been saved by our efforts will remain self-focused - it is always all about ‘them,’ after all. As usual, we’re going to have to work around the nefarious plans, create and support alternative sources… and do it all ourselves.
Which is fine, truth be told. At this point, we are not only used to it - we have also become pretty good at it…
