On August 8, an official X account for the government of the United Kingdom [UK] reposted a ‘tweet’ from another official UK account, with a rather ominous message. The four-word missive certainly generated reactions, mostly from American users; it read simply…
It was in reference to violent protests which have broken out across the UK, unleashed in response to the brutal murders of three innocent girls (ages 6-9) by a 17 year-old man of Rwandan descent. Authority in the UK is, of course, blaming the fed-up citizens (referring to them by the increasingly-meaningless slur of ‘far right’) for expressing their justifiable anger, instead of taking responsibility for how the government’s own anti-British policies may have played a role.
As you can imagine, the ‘tweet’ was ratioed into the nether regions, with (as of this writing) over 40,000 comments compared to around 7,000 ‘likes’… all of which occurring before they shut off comments for the post. The thoughts expressed included…
“Think before you become North Korea.”
Catturd™
“1776 is looking better by the day.”
End Wokeness
“Think before you let violent, sexually deviant, religiously fanatical immigrants into your countries.”
Abby Libby
[F*] off redcoats. I thought before this post.

And as for my part, here on Substack’s Notes?
“And this… is why we have a Bill Of Rights. We cannot allow it to be destroyed…”
The majority of responses to the original ‘tweet’ were absolutely savage, and - as noted above - came largely from American citizens… because we can. Indeed, our Bill of Rights, and its core First Amendment protections, allows us to criticize any government action we choose, without the threat of imprisonment.
At least that is the theory, anyhow…
UK police commissioner threatens to extradite, jail US citizens over online posts: ‘We’ll come after you’
New York Post
Well, this is a twist…
London’s Metropolitan Police chief warned that officials will not only be cracking down on British citizens for commentary on the riots in the UK, but on American citizens as well.
As thousands rightly noted on X and elsewhere, the notion of American citizens being extradited to a foreign country for exercising our Natural Rights to speak our minds is preposterous. Most of those commenting as such deployed varying degrees of snark and sarcasm to make their points, because it’s us… and it is the Internet.
As a ‘Community Note’ (since taken down?) on the offending ‘tweet’ pointed out, for an extradition to take place the ‘crime’ must be a crime in both the US and UK. Since our Supreme Court (despite erroneous claims otherwise) has affirmed that ‘hate speech’ is ‘protected speech,’ such an extradition would be illegal.
Again… in theory.
And this is where it gets tricky, because over the last decade or so there have been a LOT of things constitutionally ‘illegal’ which were moved breathlessly forward anyhow. Cities were allowed to burn oft without consequences, whole police stations were occupied by terrorist forces masquerading as ‘social justice’ groups, and blatant violations of ‘informed consent’ and ‘medical Liberty’ laws occurred freely… all allowed by the very Authority elected to serve the People.
Then, of course, there was January 6, 2021.
The miscarriages of ‘justice’ associated with that date will live on in infamy, likely discussed in law classes for centuries. Indeed, since that fateful day over 1,400 citizens have been arrested, with hundreds still wasting away in jails - literally years later - without any charges having been filed… despite the constitutional guarantee of a ‘fair and speedy’ trial.
Furthermore, of the over 1,000 convictions achieved, a vast majority of them were specious, at best. The absurd case of Dr. Simone Gold - and how the propaganda media has treated her since - is one of the more glaring examples of that.
So - despite the ‘law of the land’ - are you really going to try to convince me that a Globalist regime running things in D.C. will not allow for (with our corrupted ‘justice system’ in compliance) broad extraditions of citizens they deem as ‘far-right?’ Are you expecting me to believe that they will just blithely follow the law, when they have proven over the last thirty-plus years they will openly - eagerly - violate our most cherished legal principles?
“But the Supreme Court will protect us, Stone!” Maybe, but by the time a case gets heard by that body, you will have likely been extradited, tried, convicted, and imprisoned. Tell me how ‘protected’ that makes you feel?
So, while ‘snark and sarcasm’ are understandable? I do think we should take this threat more seriously (and speak out against it with fervency), because I do not trust those who are in Authority… nor many of those who may end up there. I have no doubt they will do whatever is necessary, break whatever law they can, to reach their ultimate goals.
Because they already have… already are.
One final thought: I find the dystopian Hollywood productions of the past couple of decades to be intriguing, for one basic reason. Like in the film, ‘V For Vendetta,’ when a government is ‘corrupt’ it is always portrayed being racist, anti-gay, anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim or anti-Semitic (while always ‘pro-Christian’)… in other words, their perceptions of ‘right wing.’
Yet (nearly every single time), when an Authoritarian regime manifests in our modern, ‘real world?’ None of these things turn out to be true. In fact - at least when they rise in the West - it is oft the exact opposite case.
Huh. Isn’t that something…

There is nothing as protected by law in the United States than the Church. The IRS can't even audit a Church without the consent of the Church.
I remember, very early in the Pandemic when Governors across the US ordered Churches to stop meeting. I told my wife, and I certainly expected, Churches everywhere to use polite pastor speak to tell said Governors to fuck off.
Certainly there is no legal authority anywhere within this country for any governmental official to direct a Church regarding its meetings in any way.
But, instead of telling Governors to fuck off, Churches meekly closed their doors by the thousands. Without so much as a whimper.
That's when I knew without any doubt that the spirit to defend liberty was well and truly dead in this country.
As individuals, we still might defend our freedoms, and thanks to an armed populace, we have the means to do so if it is necessary, but collectively we have given up.
Does anyone know what happened to the Brunson Brothers Supreme Court case? Everyone had such high hopes for a win. Excellent article Stone. The USA, and the British must owe China a lot of money to begin incorporating their draconian laws against free speech. AND they've been allowed to purchase much of California’s productive farmland. Was there an exchange made?
The USA has been on the verge of bankruptcy for years. Whose to save her? She keeps kicking the can down the road, avoiding the fall of bankruptcy, but just like all bankruptcies, eventually, she will seemingly crumble in a day.
