Thanks to the ever-generous Demi Pietchell at the
, who wrote a great article based off my most recent edition of the TDT (if you have not yet read her piece, do so HERE), I have been blessed with a few fresh views over the last 24 hours. As such, let me offer a warm welcome to new subscribers, and give you a quick tour.Yes, I do cover news items - and do so from what some consider a unique perspective - but I will also post spiritual and philosophical musings, examinations of real-world conundrums (with solutions recommended), plus other random goodies.
Oh, and in case you have not already noticed? I utilize - some might even say abuse - the ellipsis… a lot. I apologize for nothing.
In addition, I will also drop the occasional verse from my poetic days, when the mood strikes me; sometimes emotional, sometimes topical, even occasionally irreverent, I throw these into the mix in an effort to keep the page as lively as possible. What you see below is one of those lyrical pieces.
Okay - tour over, let’s get to the work…
As Humanity Descends
Take my hand sweet baby -
eradicate the ‘save me’...
know with everything you love
we’re coming to the end.
Don’t stress about the days to come -
we’ve almost counted down to none,
curl... up... with me
as humanity descends.
Apocalypse is in the air -
people bouncing everywhere...
the vital and the vapid
counting virtues and their sins.
We’ve waited for this day so long
so let us sing our joyous song,
they... shall... reap it
as humanity descends.
Chaos is in overdrive -
no one’s sure if they’re alive...
watch as all the people go
stark-crazy in their skins.
Faces filled with terror -
but they are not our mirror,
calm… and… tranquil
as humanity descends.
Laughing at their panic -
these Masters going manic...
awakened self-awareness
like we’ll never see again.
They’re learning their pretension
will not provide redemption,
let... us... revel
as humanity descends.
Feel that crackle from the sky -
forget about the how and why...
let those currents take us
to a place of peace within.
Knowing all that we all have left
is one collective final breath,
hold... on… gently
as humanity descends.

Notes…
-- The original version of this poem was written in September, 2014; I have spruced it up a wee-bit for this post.

I use the ellipsis a lot too. It's just a natural reflection of me talking, and pausing for a second... lol, I felt right at home. love the poem, the world is wild now, and always, seeing you wrote this first in 2014. The problems change the chaos stays the same. Maybe that is what sleep is really for, to end each day, and dream a new creation into reality. To wake up into a new world.
OOOhhhh....I love this, Stone!!
Again, great lyrical potential here!!
