So, what do we have hereā¦
Trump calls for contest to create futuristic āFreedom Citiesā
Politico
Something about this sounds vaguely familiarā¦
Trumpās planā¦ calls for holding a contest to design and create up to ten new āFreedom Cities,ā built from the ground up on federal land. It proposes an investment in the development of vertical-takeoff-and-landing vehicles; the creation of āhives of industryā sparked by cutting off imports from China; and a population surge sparked by ābaby bonusesā to encourage would-be-parents to get on with procreation.
Hmmā¦ wonder where Iāve heard of this. Oh well, Iām sure itāll come to me.
So Trump is going visionary on us, a plan so grandiose he will be remembered for ever and eternity. With the āhives of industryā angle, I am confident these urban areas will be compact and self-sustaining, and since those vertical aerial vehicles will undoubtedly be electric (you know, for the environment)? Why, itās practically begging for his buddy Elon to step in and provide the transportation.
Heck, as part of this Utopian dream Iād wager that residents living in these cities will be able to get wherever they need to go in less thanā¦ oh, I donāt know, sayā¦ 15 minutes?
There it isā¦ ā15 minute cities.ā Familiar, indeed.

To some this will be jarring, hearing such ripe, pro-Globalist language coming from this president (an allegedly anti-NATO, anti-UN president), and to hear it this soon. Indeed, when considering the many - so very many - proposals we have heard our president-elect suggest, this one has to be the most Globalist yet.
I mean, was this Donald Trump speakingā¦ or Klaus Schwab?
I know a few of my readers are unwavering supporters of the incoming President, and will immediately spring to defend him. After the last decade or so of nearly non-stop attacks from the political class and lawfare cartel AND legacy media? I get why you might be inclined to do so here.
With that noted, consider this for a moment: Trump is only going to be president for four years, and what he leaves behind - both tangibly and culturally - will be inherited by whatever administration is next. So if he fosters these āfreedom citiesā as the next-great-thing, with a āhow to createā blueprint established as a guideā¦ and if the next president (or one which follows them) is much-more āAgendaā driven?
Can you imagine how ugly this could potentially get for we commoners, those of us who wish to live local, live rural, live Naturalā¦ and just want to be left alone? Said-blueprint could be implemented on a mass scale, and many of those who would ordinarily stand against them might waver, because of who initially created them.
I mean gosh, they are called, āFreedom Citiesāā¦ so how can they be bad?
Actions such as these exist not in the vacuum of a single presidency, so let me assure you of one thing: If they startā¦ they will not end. An inadvertent, ideological Trojan Horse.
For example, former President Ronald Reagan is considered by conservatives to be one of the great presidents in US history, revered as a paragon of American idealism. What many advocates oft forget, however, is that the āimmigrationā issues we face in the here-and-now have their roots in the āAmnestyā legislation from 1986ā¦ which Reagan fully supported.
Simple action. Unintended, long term consequences. Trojan Horse.
So yes, Trump conjuring up this specific āvisionā concerns me gravely - not so much based on what he would do with it, but what those who follow him could. It is a Pandoraās Box I would prefer to keep closed.
As I have said previously, I never expected the Trump presidency to be Americaās āsalvation;ā we, the people, are responsible for our own prosperity as a nation. We only need for DC to get out of our way, while also keeping those crippling, WEF mandates at bay; they do these, and we will be fine on our own. Thankfully, I suspect Trump will do both (thus continuing to provide us breathing room), which will allow us the critical time necessary to prepare for the dystopia to come.
Nevertheless, even if one has total trust in an office holder, diligence and discernment are ever vital. This means noting any potential infringements, which also includes highlighting cute little wordplays which could be utilized to manipulate us.
Because repackaging 15-minute cities as āFreedom Cities?ā Whether intended or not, thatās damned near as manipulative as one can get.
No matter who is saying itā¦

Notesā¦
-- EDIT: I had meant to include a note that the original story was first written in March of 2023, but it has started making the rounds on social media once againā¦ thus I wanted to cover it here; apologies, for not including that information in the initial post.
-- One of my goals here is to advocate for living Natural, and to me the antithesis of that is the foul, 15 minute city concept which has been proposed. As I endeavor to remain true to that goal, I will bring to your attention any idea which attacks ānatural living,ā and I care not from whom - or from where - it may come.

I voted for him but trust none of them. We all must stay vigilant in protecting our freedoms and making our voices heard.
I had not heard this before, but considering it was from back in 2023, while in the early stages of the campaign, its grandiosity doesn't surprise me either.
My hope is that if this legacy planning has any traction during his term, and there aren't ten thousand other distractions (both internal and external) that the ideas flow without federal money or mandates.
He does tend to have a very urban centric vision of things, and nearly everyone in his sphere is from some large city, let's also hope that the focus stays with innovation and opportunity, not engineered theoretical efficiencies.
