I could use a little help here, folks. I am having a serious crisis of “WTF should I do?” and would like to get your input.
There are two looks for The Stone Age that I really like; one is a traditional off-white background with dark-red highlights, while the other is a very-dark brown template (at least I think it is brown - perhaps charcoal?) which sports soft, orange-ish accents. There is one that I am leaning toward, but I also want to make sure the aesthetic is pleasing and readable for as many people as possible.
So, please do me a favor: Take a look at these two screenshots, then vote in the poll directly below them…
1) Light
2) Dark
Normally I would post a poll like this as a Web-Only Drop, but I really need the maximum input possible. As such, I decided to both post and email this particular request out to all subscribers; I hope you do not mind.
Of course, comments are welcome if you have additional thoughts; as I am not a visual artist, I kind of have to wing it with this sort of thing. At any rate, thank you in advance for the help - I appreciate it.

Notes…
-- Unless otherwise noted all images are generated by the author, using NightCafe Studio or Grok 2 (X), with creative digital alterations when desired or needed.
NOTE: I avoided addressing comments directly during the earlier stages of the poll, as I did not want to unduly (or accidentally) influence the result by speaking my own opinions. Enough time has passed, however, that I can answer a few :-)
The darker seems easier to read with my old eyes
