I don't know what I like more the poem or your lyrics put to music. Both were awesome!

Very gracious of you, Jessica, thank you! And they DID do a great job with the music, didn't they? 🙂

They did man. Very Pink Floyd. Roger Waters is jealous.

I love the poem as a poem and as lyrics to a song! ♥️ Thank you for sharing it, Stone. Interestingly, the past few days, the song Rangoon Moon, which I haven’t listened to in decades, played in my head. Last night, as the earworm continued, I wondered if anyone had written about the moon. I opened Substack, and this article was the first in my feed! This was meant for me to read and hear, bringing new music about the moon to my ear. 🎶 Beautiful!

I recalled the old My Space days. I sure miss them. My ex-husband and I were still together then, and My Space featured one of our illusions every month. A good friend with influence worked there, so that’s how we got that deal. Interestingly enough, he and most working at My Space were let go and replaced after several years, right before FB took off. He told me it was like they were dismantling My Space or reducing its footprint. I want to visit my My Space profile to grab some old photos, but I have no way of accessing it any longer. 🤷‍♀️ Can you still access yours?

Another example of the synchronicity I have been seeing, you wondering about a 'moon' song and finding it here, of all places. Funny how that has been playing out 😁

As for MySpace access, most of my work was torn down with the restructuring you mentioned above, and I lost the ability to log-in many MANY moons ago. I pretty much gave up trying to retrieve anything from that era, which is a shame - I had a few decent, non-poetry blogs on there 🙂

Very happy you enjoyed the poem AND the song... ☺️

Thank you! I too think of the Moon as a sacred being! Has always felt familiar and alive and even sort of like a loving guardian angel. Seeing it is comforting to me and if I go swimming at night I love to swim where it is shining in the water !

Beautifully put, Holly, and I could not agree more. Something about the Moon stirs the esoteric side of me, the energy is - to me - very sacred 🥰 Thank you!

You had me at the first note of the saxaphone. Beautiful poem soulfully set to a blues theme. Thank you.

I know, right? I had the same feeling the first time I heard it - that sax came in, and I was like, 'Whoa...' ☺️ Appreciate the gracious words about the poem as well - thank you! 🙂

Good ear, brother - most of the reviews I saw about the song - AND the album - made note of the Floyd similarities 😉 Thanks, man - appreciate ya!

That lyric and music were meant to be paired. Altogether it reminds me of when Waters & Gilmour first played together. Thanks so much.
