You’ve seen the headlines… now, we dig a little deeper.…
Welcome to the latest edition of Seven-Round Mag, the weekly take on the most-intriguing headlines from my micro-newscasts.
With healthy doses of passion, common sense, and brevity, I offer raw, unfiltered commentary on a diverse collection of news stories. I will also - on occasion - throw in a dash of sarcasm for flavor… because who wants to consume bland brain-foods?
So, with that noted - and without further delay - let’s talk about the news…
WEF CEO Says SHE Runs Twitter (X), Not Elon, & Introduces Censorious ‘Labeling’ of ‘Lawful But Awful’ Users
The National Pulse
What the blazes is going on with X, the site formerly known as Twitter? It seems like every week some new trainwreck is playing out in slow-motion, while rationally-minded people are left to wonder who is actually driving that train.
And IF said-conductor is deliberately steering it into a ditch.
The week started with CEO Linda Yaccarino asserting that SHE is running the network (not Elon Musk), while basically saying, “Why yes, the old days of censorship are returning to X.” Said-week ended with the aforementioned Elon telling the world they are getting rid of the ‘block’ feature very soon, much to the chagrin of… well, pretty much everyone.
I cannot make heads or tails of what is happening over there, but - to be completely frank - I am thankful they drove me away from investing too much of myself into the site. I am also thankful, every day, that I have this Substack page.
Truthfully, I’d rather have 1,000 loyal readers here than 1,000,000 passive follow-chasers over there; at least here, what we are doing to real…
Taliban marks two years since return to power in Afghanistan
Al Jazeera
Two years.
Yes, two years have gone by since the most shameful withdrawal in American history occurred (even more humiliating than our cowardly pullout of Saigon in 1975, at least from my perspective). Of course, the mainstream media largely avoided the Afghan embarrassment on its anniversary; we, however, shall not.
Here are some facts…
- Nearly 20 years of war, longest military action in American history
- 2,420 Americans killed; 20,713 Americans wounded
- An estimated 176,000–212,000 people killed in total
- The near-immediate return to power of the very terrorist group we overthrew.
- Billions-of-dollars worth of high-tech military equipment left behind for said-group
- Hundreds - possibly thousands - of Afghan allies left to endure horrific fates
- Afghan women returned to chattel-status
- At least two trillion total dollars spent; for visual context, that is $2,000,000,000,000.00
And what did we accomplish, for the long-term? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Every life lost and every individual injured, every minute of effort and every dollar spent… wasted, because of the short-sighted actions of the most incompetent, unstable, and useless ‘president’ in America history.
And when November 5, 2024 rolls around? If said-man is still on the ballot, you better damned well remember all that. While some would argue that our elections are rigged and voting for president is a fool’s errand, in my opinion we still have to do everything we can to make it very difficult for them to pull it off.
Too much is at stake to cavalierly dismiss it. We also owe it to those who bore the burden for nearly two decades… to the lives needlessly sacrificed…
Amazon bans then unbans Scott Adams ahead of new book launch
Post Millennial
This is a harbinger for things to come; actually, there were several harbingers before this, but since Amazon was banning books that ‘mainstream conservatives’ deemed ‘offensive?’ Nobody said ‘boo’ about it.
“And then they came for the…”
Since I posted the original story as part of the Evening Lines, Amazon skillfully backtracked on its Adams ban, much like Apple did with removing Glenn Beck’s podcasts from their network (which I covered in detail, link below). Meanwhile, creators without ‘big names’ are being purged on YouTube as we speak, yet very few are raising the alarm for those victims of Big-Tech.
We either stand for everyone’s right to speak candidly, putting aside our own self-importance, or we will all eventually lose our own rights. There is no middle ground here - it is either/or…
Georgia beekeeper spots invasive hornet in US for first time: ‘A voracious predator’
Fox News
Another ‘murder hornet’ (not actually its designation, though this one could very well live up to such a name) has arrived on our shores. The yellow-legged hornet - another ‘doomsday’ gift from our Southeast-Asian pals - was spotted in Georgia, and these little predators’ favorite prey is pollinators. Especially honeybees.
So yeah… this one is serious.
It would take me a small e-book to articulate how utterly vital the honeybee population is to our quality of life; simply put, we’re taking about a borderline Extinction Level Event if the bees go bye-bye. While some might suggest that is gross overstatement, I actually think - taken with the word borderline - it is the perfect amount of statement.
But I am one of them crazy conspiracy theorists - what the hell do I know?
And what IS it about Southeast Asia, anyhow? Between invasive fish species and lab-engineered bio-weapons perfectly-natural viruses, and now this - hornets which target the sources-of-living here in America?
Perhaps we need to bolster security in our west-coast ports along with the land-based borders. You know, just in case these events are not, ‘accidental’…
Did Face Masks Help Fight COVID? Scientists Want You To Wear Yours Again
Newsweek
No.
US escalates trade dispute with Mexico over genetically modified corn
Al Jazeera
While I do not give Mexico credit for much (its recent hints at joining BRICS and its government’s corrupt connections with utterly brutal drug cartels being two of those reasons), I have to hand it to them when it comes to challenging the Globalist Food Cartels. They are not afraid of Monsanto, nor the US government’s support of them.
From the article…
Washington [DC] alleges that a Mexican decree banning imports of GM corn used in dough and tortillas for human consumption is not based on science and violates its commitments under the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement on trade launched in 2020.
“Not based on science.” Every time I see that from an official organization now, I assume the opposite is true.
Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr [D], weighed in on this, stating that US ‘president’ Josef Biden was launching a, “trade war to force Mexico to buy Monsanto's GMO corn.” He hits the nail on the head, in my opinion, and it is going to be interesting to see how this all plays out.
One thing of which I can be confident; if, in his boundless hubris, Biden chooses to push Mexico too hard? He may well just push it away completely… and further into the waiting arms of Xi and Putin…
World Chess Federation Bans Trans Women From Competing In Women’s Events
One America News
Okay, I have been a very vocal advocate for getting biological men out of women’s sports. I have publicly supported those who have been speaking out - even Harry Potter scribe J.K. Rowling has received my props, even though I am fairly confident I would share few other beliefs with her.
I have written about the foulness of expecting women and girls to physically complete with men, along with attacking the vile demands that females must share locker rooms with pre-op trans-men. Keep women’s sports for actual women - pure and simple.
That having been said, I have always asserted it has never been about ‘transphobia’ and I mean it. I have been clear on my, ‘live and let live,’ philosophy, and even praised a recent action by Germany to set up a special ‘Open Category’ to allow trans-swimmers to compete against each other.
It has never been about hating on trans-athletes, or trans-people in general, but about fair competition for women and our girls. With that noted…
Chess? I mean, really… CHESS?!
This travels well into the realm of absurdity; chess is an intellectual game, after all, not a test of physical prowess. The fact there are even separate categories for men and women in this field is in of itself degrading to women; can you imagine the rage if the sexes had gender-divided matches for the quiz-program Jeopardy! The public outcry would be deafening, and justifiably so.
So yes, absolutely protect females on the soccer pitch and volleyball courts, and in the locker-room showers - but protect them at the chess-board?
That’s just going too far - like, light-years too far
And that is all for this edition of Seven-Round Mag; as always thank you so much for your continued support…
That being said. I agree.. yet the strength in numbers is not on our side as people have basic necessities that call for all their time. It feels defeatist, yet where are all the Patriots?
Where to start. Part of me is oblivious..Part of me is Irate... we know and see and yet nothing is done.. we all just spend time talking about it. I’m grief-stricken over it all this NOT my World.
