I am looking forward to Florida warming back up again. The Iguanas fall from the trees when it gets too cold here, and it has been, in my opinion, far too cold! But, at least there's no more hurricanes for a while 😅 Great Lakes area though.. what the hell. I didn't know this was going on. TY for update.
I will check into Weatherman Plus and the space weather to see if any of this "makes sense". My friends in WNC and central NC all had snow yesterday and day before, which they said was NOT forecast. I suspect incessant geoengineering and chemical spraying is making things spaz, for lack of proper terminology.
Thanks so much, Tesstamona <3 I appreciate the gracious words.
I was tracking the snows in WNC - they did come up by surprise, as they were expected to stay in the northern part of the Appalachians. Looks like conditions are improving over this weekend - am keeping Helene's victims in my prayers.
I am located in the San Joaquin Valley, and usually this time of year we experience thick pea soup fog. This year it’s very minimal. Hardly noticeable. I hope you stay warm! It’s not even winter yet!
This is GREAT information to have, Charlotte - I will file it away for future forecasts, so that I have the knowledge the next time the 'valleys' appear :-) It's been ridiculously chilly here - at least for this time a year - but the next few days should be awesome ;-) Hope yours are as well! <3
Amazing living in Northern NA where one can experience the four seasons and the dramatic changes in weather that occur by the earth tilting on its axis so we receive less radiation from the sun here and hence the southern hemisphere gets more-their summer
Lots of mystery and mythology are connected to the dark days of late fall and winter
In Canada (west Coast) lots of snow on our local mountains with more to come
Oh my goodness, Jon, I absolutely LOVE the 'mythology' of weather :-) One of my favorite lines in the recent 'Twisters' movie was - when describing our understanding of how a tornado forms - one of the chasers says, "It's part science, part religion." I love that LOL
Sounds like you live in a great weather area - being in Missouri, we get a little bit of everything too. Since I am not as familiar with Canadian abbreviations as I should be (still learning), what and where is 'NA?'
Some parts of the western UP of Michigan have accumulated over 50 inches of snow thus far. And this is only the first week of December. Thank the Heavens that we have year round global warming to melt it all courtesy of the climate fanatics.
I hear ya, Crixcyon. Judging from the weather reports I have been tracking, this autumn has been ridiculously brutal for the entire GL region. Let's hope things mellow out soon, so the region can get some of that high-octane 'melting' LOL
Your introductory picture is a beautiful memory of what my hometown in Northern Michigan looked like on the lake. The beauty, the quietude, the stark essence being one with nature upon seeing such beauty is breath-taking! But, it is also one of the reasons we left our beautiful state. I have to admit, the Blue still runs through these aging veins, but never will return to experience another winter there. As a teenager, it was nothing to walk the lake, staring at the the blackest nights with the brightest stars, the northern lights so prevalent, and air and winds so crisp, it took your breath away. It was a scene from so many lonely nights for this girl transplanted from the city. This is when my journey to write began. Thank you, Stone, for this image. It certainly made my day!
I'm so happy you enjoyed that, Monica. I actually do my best to capture the mood of each drop with the photos I generate, so I am very grateful for your reaction to this one :-)
And I agree 100%! From what I can tell, they are having a brutal autumn up there, especially in upstate New York and Erie County in Pennsylvania. They are made of heartier stuff than I... ;-)
I grew up in northern Ohio and LOVED the ''lake effect'' snow! It meant school cancellations and sled riding, hot chocolate and warm fireplaces! Good times.
Oh mercy! You all are dealing with a nasty autumn up there, virtually every 'cast since I relaunched this has been brutal for you all. Hoping for clear skies and warmer temps for ya soon!

Oh my goodness gracious - I should have KNOWN that one! 🤦🏻 I was overthinking it, assuming it was a specific location in BC... 😁
Thanks for the follow-up 🙂

And you do as well! 🫶
I guess I can take cold (heh) comfort in the fact I don't live near the Great Lakes, at least.
Smooth pun, Kerry ;-)

'Snow days' were good days, indeed.
Now I'm feeling all nostalgic :-)
We could all do with a bit more nostalgia in our lives, it's free and is good for the mind.
I hear ya, brother... o7
The wind is making it very chilly here, with “feels like” temps being double digits below actual.
Great Lakes!

Eesh, that is burr! Which part of the world are you in?
