That is so beautifully written, Stone. It is, indeed, soul food. Meditating on that text, contemplating and taking it a step further, it reminds me of a ‘koan’ a Zen meditation.
Thank you for putting my mind back on track so to speak... I owe you my friend :)
In a world of rampant complaining wherein the wonder at simply being alive in this magical playground gets lost in the noise (or is absent altogether), I find your view to be refreshing. I align with your mission to encourage the humans to remember to "embrace the joy of being". It really is the antidote to what ails us. :)
Beautiful, thank you for sharing this. I've often thought that soul, spirit, spiritual, etc are very murky terms that can sometimes not mean what I intend. I love your practice of creating (or allowing) a more clearly meaningful term.♥️
Perfect Stone! I love it! One of my best friends is Hawaiian and her name is Koa, meaning strong and courageous, and usually is a male name. With its feminine sound, and meaning koa applies to her soul because she has demonstrated strength to confront all her life challenges. Her vitality is her koa, her soul. Life!
Wow, you've really done something great here. First coming up with 'Koa,' a new word kind of like 'soul' that allows us to imagine it without any preconceptions creeping in, and then imagining what sounds like it could be a perfect conception of what the 'Koa' actually is. It's given me a lot to think about. Absolutely beautiful—thank you for this.
Have you ever heard of Singing Wood? There are two which resonate rather amazingly to music. Koa is one of these woods, hence the Hawaiian ukulele was almost exclusively built from koa. As half my family hails from the Big Island, I grew up playing koa ukes.
Nothing sounds like koa. It’s ability to enhance, enrich and sustain musical tones and chords is wondrous. Each instrument has its’ own unique personality, and yet all derive from the same source.
Too many parallels to list between the wood koa, and you as koa.
Mahalo nui loa. Any man who can create vibrant meaning from new words is a man after my own heart.
Deeply moving piece. One for the ages to be constantly inspired by this eternal wisdom. 1000 thanks 🙏
Wow, many thanks to you as well! I very much appreciate this!
👊🏻👊🏻
As you have learned the other meaning of Koa (the tree), could you make a comparison of the two-as in the tree of life? Just a thought I had….
Excellent work, sir. Kudos
I actually considered that, brother, but it felt like a stretch since the tree is not really related to the ToL outside of them both being 'trees' 😉
Love the train of thought, though 🫡Appreciate ya as always 🤜🏻🤛🏻

I love this comment, Joyce - thank you 🥰 I am glad this resonated with you.
“indeed, you are very much here… alive! Since that is the case BE alive; live in this moment, right now, embracing the joy of being you.”
YES!!! That is all there is to do! What a gift it is! 🙏✨❤️
Grateful for this comment, and for your support; thank you, Jacqueline! <3
And I am so grateful for your message, Stone!

I mean, that sounds super Polynesian. I half expect it to be from a science fiction fantasy novel set on a pseudo-Hawai'ian planet.
I kind of dig that vibe... ;-)
