Lithium is not rare in itself, there are billions of tons of it in Earth's oceans (estimated 200+ billion tons) – just that its concentration therein is fairly low and extraction is not economically viable at this time. Even extracting it from the few «good» sources is rather energy-intensive.

This is a relatively good article: https://www.chemistryworld.com/features/the-lithium-rush/4017304.article

That battle of energies ⚡️ ⛽️

I have driven a Tesla extensively, it has many problems. But it’s perfect for a 15 minute city.

If people are willing to stand up, I believe it is a battle they will lose 😉

And I have oft wondered if Tesla's are worthy or the hype, much less the money. Since I have no interest in EVER living in one of their micro-cities... I think I'm good, based on your assessment 🙂

Thanks as always, Charlotte ☺️

Oil is plentiful and cheap, which is life-giving.

But there is a far darker side to the Climate Alarmism than money or energy or the pollutions of mining for alternatives. The actual attack is on PHOTOSYNTHESIS, the basis of Life on Earth. Carbon dioxide is transformed to plants and food. (Oxygen is a trivial byproduct. They get away with pretending its significant because we instinctively know we can live but few minutes without it--and because Americans are too math-challenged to figure out that 0.04% of air switching from CO2 to O2 is nothing beside the 20-21% oxygen content of the air.)

Iowa just sprang for a huge pipeline to sequester our future food (CO2) deep underground. We need to wake up to this.

The only component of feudalism that we should get back to is the hyper local economy. Get back to our surnames qualifying what we do for our community. Produce, provide, and proliferate locally - but for real, not made in China in secret.

"... not made in China in secret."

For those who may be unaware, that is some bone-jarring-yet-absolute truth! Well said 🫡

Never mind what the stupid things do to demands on the grid—all powered by coal and fossil fuels BTW. Makes perfect sense—to their psyop. Idiots. Climate indeed 🙄

Inorite? And the fact there are still hundreds of millions who STILL rigorously embrace the climate propaganda - despite the facts you mention here - is maddening to me. 🤦🏻

YES:

This BULLSHIT will never happen because they won't be able to control it.

And YES, we must become completely local. 100%.

So local that our kids will ask:

“Dad, why were you so stupid to build Washington DC?

Just fight the system!

If you have a new(er) car go to the local shop and tell them:

Kick out OnStar or however the shit is called. Our shop charges $50 and has a big fun doing it.

WE, THE PEOPLE, ARE THE MASTERS AND MUST BRING THE SLAVEHOLDERS OUT OF TOWN.

I'm positive, it's just relearning freedom in this slave economy.

BTW: I LOVE LITHIUM.

It should be your daily supplement, read Michael Nehls:

I highly recommend “Why We Drive” by Matthew Crawford, as he makes the case that driving is good for us, it keeps us ordering our world. And interestingly he compares the EVs to basically an early stage device where Big Corp wants us to sit and read ads they beam at us all day.

“On Sunday’s I elude the Eyes and hop the turbine freight

To far outside the wire where my white haired uncle waits …”

The climate agenda, and EV's, as you pointed out is the biggest scam in human history proving to be an even bigger problem than the plandemic.

I always ask the obvious question of "Whatever happened to free markets?" After all, the entire climate change agenda and the market of EV's that fall underneath its economic umbrella is anything but free market. The whole thing is a captured cronyistic market without natural demand.

As you closed out your article the key to free market is allowing the production of oil and allowing car manufacturers to build automobiles with the freedom to serve what the market demands. Ensuring we fight to keep free markets will ensure our freedom in society.

On a sidenote, the Chevron Deference case that was overturned by the Supreme Court this week is going to be huge in helping to destroy the Administrative State of government which is largely tied to the Croynistic nature of the Climate Control agenda and the useless agencies that abuse their power to make it so.

Keep up the good fight.

I admit to being cynical about all the shortage scares. It’s almost always the Wall Street donor class putting a squeeze play on the markets. These critters are always “talking book” in other words releasing a studies, market research and other propaganda to move markets. It’s the game “they” play to extract wealth, and MSM outlets like Bloomberg and WSJ are their key distributors. They ALWAYS have insider perspectives. Perhaps they have inside info of new battery tech coming that makes lithium irrelevant, affecting lithium based investments. Or perhaps there’s more supply than anticipated, and these “projections”. can run up the price short term. The average person has no idea of the money made off of lithium futures in a short term price hike. And then perhaps some of it is the climate nazis at work crushing lower classes. California does seem to be actively working on this. Or, all of the above…

Best to stay calm and neutral through all of this, and if you have the means, make book on the lithium run up.

Well considered and presented points, Glenn, and I agree with your assessments. All we can do is examine what they are putting forward, and identify any patterns which bolster their overall agenda... then, if one arises, discuss it 😉

The globalists and all their wealth and presumed power does not exist in a vacuum. How did most of these people become wealthy? They created something and sold it to the consumers. Company profits went higher all the time and stock prices followed. Being major shareholders owning millions of shares, these power hungry mongrels gained most of their wealth from rising stock prices. And today much of their wealth is tied to stocks.

Take away the foundation (consumers) who continue to buy these products as if there was no tomorrow and what happens? Globalists may be super rich, but they are also some of the dumbest people on the planet.

And the irony, Crixcyon, is that they believe - with an almost childlike fervor - that they are soooo much more intelligent than us 'lowly' commoners 🤦🏻 That's why I am convinced we can overcome their agenda - their unwarranted hubris makes them underestimate us 💪🏻
